Skin Series, Part 6: Perfect

This is the *final posting* in a collection of posts based on everything that I had learned at a recent Sephora class.  For the previous posting in this series, click here.

Perfect
The last step of the skincare routine is to "perfect" the skin.  "Perfecting" the skin may include using a BB/CC Cream, blush, and lip color.  To first differentiate between a BB and CC cream:

BB Creams stand for beauty balm or blemish balm.  They smooth the skin, contain anti-aging elements, protect against sun damage, and have light-reflecting components to give the skin a luminous look.  They provide the least amount of coverage, so they are ideal for younger women whose skin just need a "pick me up".

CC Creams stand for complexion corrector cream.  Similar to BB creams, CC creams are packed with vitamin C and E, but focus more on color correction.  Use CC cream to correct sallowness, redness, acne, dark spots and more.  It also feels lighter on the skin than BB cream!

Sephora's Top Tips
  • Use a pearl-sized amount of BB/CC cream, warm in the palms, and press to apply on the face.
  • When applying blush, start at the apples of the cheeks, then blend up toward the temples
