Double Fishtail Braid

The double-fish tail braid actually looks a whole lot LESS complicated then it looks.  If you can fishtail braid, you will love this style.  If not, the fish tail braid can be learned.

How to fish tail braid:
1. Split your hair into 2 parts.
2. Take an outermost strand of one part and cross it over to the other part.
3. Take the outermost strand of the other part, and cross it over to the first part.
4. Repeat.

Here is a diagram from The Chicago Life Blog:

The Double Fishtail How-To:

1. Separate your hair into two section for two different braids.  One section should be considerably larger than the other.  Pin back the smaller section of your hair so it is out of the way.
2.  Begin fishtail braiding the larger section of hair.
3.  Tie the fishtail braid off with an elastic.  Then, begin pulling on the braid to create a fuller braid.  This is referred to as "pancaking" the hair.  If pieces end up sticking out from layers, use some pomade to smooth it down.  Or leave it out if you like the look!
4.  Then, begin fishtail braiding the smaller section of hair.  Tie it off with an elastic when it is complete.
5.  Combine the braids by putting the smaller braid on top of the bigger one.  Tie both together with an elastic.
6.  Use bobby pins to further secure the two braids.  Weave the bobby pin in and out of the hair to hide the bobby pins.
7.  Remove the elastics  rom the larger and smaller braid so that only the elastic holding the two braids together is left.

That is it!
Hope you enjoyed!
