The Sparkle Factory: Tarina Tarantino

Hello friends!  I am sorry to have been a way for so long!  Summer came and went so quickly and now I am back to work so I haven't had as much free time to write.  But, I promise there will be PLENTY more blog postings ahead!  So, here is the first of many. :)

I am a Glamour magazine subscriber (if you didn't know - it's literally like Christmas at my house when I receive my magazine for the month).  When I got my magazine this month, I decided to mark every single item I would buy if I had unlimited funds (don't you love that part? Haha.)  So, as I was marking different sections, I noticed a gorgeous, sparkling necklace on a model in the "Health and Body" section (September 2011, page 263).  Wanting to know more, I flipped to the "Glamour Shopper" section.  And, that's where I found her:  Tarina Tarantino

I love her pink hair!

I've never heard of Tarina Tarantino, but I'm sure everyone who is everyone in L.A. has (that's where the designer's "Sparkle Factory" is based out of).  I did a little online research (ok, I really just shopped her website) and ... and if you haven't been there, you have got to check it out!  Tarantino's designs are unique, whimsical, fun, and.... sparkly!  If you are looking for a statement piece or something unusual, she is definitely your gal!

I will mention that Tarantino's jewelry and headpieces do come with quite a price tag for being costume jewelry.  For example, the necklace I like (at the top of this post) is $150, which pretty pricy.  However, Tarantino does use real Swarovski crystals in her pieces.  And, many of her designs are worn by celebrities like Katy Perry and Avril Lavigne.

Anyway, I was so impressed by Tarantino's creativity and style; I had to share my thoughts with you on this blog.  And, if you "Like" Tarina Tarantino on Facebook, I have noticed she will put out special sales and new designs on her page.

I hope enjoy browsing her collections as much as I have!

Want the "look" without the cost?  Check out similar designs on etsy.com.  Just from browsing online, I found unique jewelry from so many Etsy shops, including :  Black Swan Accessories, Running With Scissors, and  Queen Courture!

Note: This post was written in September as a Draft, and I am just now publishing it this October.  I could dedicate a whole post on Tarantino's fragrance AND make-up... available at Sephora!
