Maximize Your Summer with Maxi Dresses!

I know it's been awhile.  And, I apologize for my absence... I was busy taking the plunge! 

And, now that I'm back, I've decided that it's time to get my feet wet and dive back into fashion! 

I must admit, that my trip to paradise provided me with plenty of inspiration.  With summer just around the corner, I've seen my fair share of sunshine, sandals, swimwear, and *drumroll* Maxi dresses! 

I LOVE Maxi dresses!  They're long and flowy and can heighten your appearance (with the right print).  I'll be honest with you though.  My mom hates it when I wear maxi dresses ("You have nice legs, why hide them?"), but I feel that it is nice to switch up my wardrobe from those basic summer sundresses. 

These are a couple of dresses that I simply found online at Forever21.com.  However, you can find Maxi dresses anywhere!  I have purchased Maxi dresses from everywhere from Target to Bebe, and TJ Maxi.  I love that there are so many options as well.  There is everything from strapless, to one-shoulder, to halter tops.  And, then - the prints!  Florals, tribal, mod, solids, and everything in between...  I'm not going to even get started on fabric options.   

While away with family and friends on my honeymoon, I have pictured below my favorite Maxi dress that I wore on the trip.  (The dress I am wearing is the red version of the teal Maxi from Forever 21.  Sorry it is out of stock!).



There's just something about the flowy fabric of a Maxi dress that relaxes and reminds me of summer.  Are you going to be wearing any Maxi dresses this summer?
