Anyway, I have figured out a way to relax, slow down, & actually get some rest. How? Well, I can't take full credit for my rest recipe... I have my friend Chelsea (Gilroy, not Handler) to thank and a sensory course I took for my graduate degree.

So, here's my recipe for rest:
- Before bed, take a bubble bath (or shower if you prefer) using lavender scented product. I love "Sleep" by Bath and Body Works, but any lavender scent will do. Make sure you test out the scent first, some lavender scents can be very strong.
- Wrap up in the softest, most cozy robe that you own. Comfy socks are wonderful too!
- Burn a candle in your favorite scent. Just don't fall asleep while your candle is burning!
- Make yourself a cup of hot tea, or milk - if that's your thing.
- Then, before you hit the hay, spray your sheets with lavender linen mist. Caution: Don't spray too much, it may irritate your skin or give you a headache! A light misting (a couple of spritz) will do.
- Lastly (thank you, Chelsea!), cozy up in bed with some eyeshades. Yes, eyeshades. You might feel ridiculous at first (I did), but they really work! The room will stay nice and dark and the satin on your skin is luxurious. Seriously!

You can really go all out with the lavender if you want too, as well. I did a search on Ulta, Sephora, and Bath and Body Works and you wouldn't believe how many different products are out there - body washes, lotion, scrubs, bath salts, massage oils, you name it - it's probably out there.
Anyway, I hope my "rest recipe" helps you get some shut eye... Daylight savings is just around the corner.
