Today my daughter, myself, my mom, and my grandma all visited Santa. I wanted to share the experience because I feel like, so often, we all tend to go to the mall to see Santa. This requires waiting (sometimes for hours) and then paying an outrageous cost for a photo with St. Nick. This time, we did something a little different...
My sister-in-law, Kristin, e-mailed me that Santa would be visiting Lanoha Nursery out in Elkhorn on Sunday, December 6th from 12:00 - 3:00 PM. I thought for sure that I would have to pay for the photo and wait in line. Not at ALL the case. We went right in and saw Santa - no line, no charge for photo. With Ellie being 2, we thought for sure that we would have tears. Nope. Santa visited with Ellie for awhile to let her "warm up". She was actually quite enamored with him. She really couldn't keep her eyes off of his beard!
After visiting with Santa, we had Christmas cookies, cocoa, and hot apple cider. Ellie also loved looking at the train they had set up. The nursery really is very pretty, so we took many more photos with different trees and poinsettias too!
Though we could have picked out a Christmas tree there, we ended up with a few pretty ornaments. A pretty terrarium cardinal an some frosted silver antlers. (I think I could make some sort of arrangement or centerpiece with the antlers... we'll see!)
A Happy Holiday Season to you all and don't rule out visiting Santa at your local nursery or garden center... you might be surprised!
