Nails Inc. has come out with "Magnetic Attraction" nail polish that come with a magnet to create ripples of darker color through the polish. The polish comes in metallic shades - gold, gray, and purple. So, what makes the polish magnetic? The polishes contain iron powder.&n
bsp; Thus, when a magnet is held over the wet polish for 30 seconds, the iron powder reacts with the magnet to create a ripple. According to Allure magazine, "For best results, paint one nail, do the magnet, paint another, and so on- then seal it with topcoat".
So, when can you expect to see "Magnetic Attraction" hit shelves? Not until October. And, that's United Kingdom shelves... Nails Inc. is a based out of London, and I am not sure if they ship world-wide. However, Allure magazine is giving away Nails Inc. "Magnetic Attraction" nail polishes in Big Ben, London Eye, and House of Parliament to the first 100 readers to sign up online (a retail value of $30). You can sign up here at 3 P.M on Monday, August 29th. But, what if you can't wait?
Well, I wanted to do a little research on this new trend and found another magnetic nail polish created by LCN, a company based out of the United States and available now! You can purchase polish online for $9.90 a bottle and a magnet at $19.90. Magnets come in a diagonal or star-shaped pattern. The prices do seem a little expensive, but after reading a bloggers review, here, I have to say, I definitely want to rock this new trend! Note: LCN is having a "Magnetize Me" facebook contest. Find out more here.
What do you think of these magnetic nail polishes? And, I have to say, the nail industry is definitely keeping me on my toes! I can't wait to see what they come out with next!
