My Hairdresser, My Hero

I love my hairdresser.  But, she is so much more than my hairdresser.  She is a friend who has known me since I was little.  In fact, before she was my hairdresser, she was my babysitter!  I'll never forget when I fell off a swing and cut my hand, "Don't look at it, and it won't hurt as much" and we got it all bandaged up.  I use her words I tell my students that to calm them down when they get hurt!

Wedding Reception Hair
Anyways, my hairdresser is a-maz-ing.  She inspires me to play with my hair so I can make it as beautiful as she does every time I see her.  I've never met anyone who can highlight like she can...  True story:  When I was working at the whole sale beauty distributor, a stylist came up to me and said, "I've never met anyone who can get a highlight as close to the scalp as yours are.  Only my niece, Amanda."  My response was, "That's my hairdressers name."  We figured out that this stranger's neice WAS my stylist.

So, I wanted to write a little blog posting on my stylist (hope this doesn't bother you, Amanda!) to say how incredible she is.  I've referred so friends and co-workers, and even I've had strangers approach my at the mall asking who does my hair.  Just recently, Amanda did my hair for my wedding reception and I don't think I've ever received so many compliments before!

Amanda, thank you for being such a great friend and inspiration.  And, for of course, keeping my hair looking healthy and beautiful!
